See the first trailer for Universal Pictures' "Despicable Me," featuring the voice talents of Steve Carell, Jason Segel, Russell Brand, Will Arnett, Kristen Wiig, Danny McBride, Miranda Cosgrove, Jack McBrayer, Mindy Kaling, Jemaine Clement and Julie Andrews.

Chris Renaud and Pierre Coffin helm from the writing by Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio. The film sees theatres on July 9th next year.

In a happy suburban neighborhood surrounded by white picket fences with flowering rose bushes, sits a black house with a dead lawn. Unbeknownst to the neighbors, hidden beneath this home is a vast secret hideout. Surrounded by a small army of minions, we discover Gru (voiced by Steve Carell), planning the biggest heist in the history of the world. He is going to steal the moon (Yes, the moon!) in Universal's new 3-D CGI feature, Despicable Me.

Gru delights in all things wicked. Armed with his arsenal of shrink rays, freeze rays, and battle-ready vehicles for land and air, he vanquishes all who stand in his way. Until the day he encounters the immense will of three little orphaned girls who look at him and see something that no one else has ever seen: a potential Dad.

The world's greatest villain has just met his greatest challenge: three little girls named Margo, Edith and Agnes.

ABOUT JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE:
Emmy-winner Jimmy Kimmel serves as host and executive producer of “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” ABC Television Network’s distinctive late-night talk show. The show features a diverse lineup of guests, including celebrities, athletes, comedians, politicians and human interest subjects. Along with a light-hearted and recognizable cast of characters, a hip house band and comedy bits in Kimmel’s inimitable style, the show additionally offers one of the funniest, freshest monologues on television today, drawing from all forms of topical media. “Jimmy Kimmel Live” often features elaborate, innovative stunts such as having notables like J.J. Abrams and Quentin Tarantino guest-direct an entire episode; traveling the show to Detroit for a week’s worth of Super Bowl-themed shows; conducting a special episode from a hospital bed with interviews featuring the doctors on staff of ”Grey’s Anatomy,” as they tended to Jimmy’s snakebite wound; and constructing a state-of-the-art performance stage in the center of Hollywood Boulevard to showcase A-list music acts.

The show originates from Disney’s El Capitan Entertainment Center, located on Hollywood Boulevard in the heart of LA’s star studded Walk of Fame. This illustrious location is featured prominently in the show as Kimmel showcases the unique character of Hollywood. “Jimmy Kimmel Live” airs weeknights at 12:05 a.m. in most markets.

In its fifth season, “Jimmy Kimmel Live” is enjoying a ratings boost and has featured such high profile regular guests as George Clooney, Britney Spears, Jennifer Garner, Robin Williams, Shaquille O’Neal, Clay Aiken, Eva Longoria, Eminem, Diane Sawyer, Lindsay Lohan, Hillary Duff, Jessica Alba, Simon Cowell, Janet Reno, Kiefer Sutherland, Rev. Jesse Jackson, Kelly Ripa, Jack Black, Teri Hatcher, Sir Ian McKellen and Mariah Carey; plus musical guests Coldplay, 50 Cent, Foo Fighters, Blink 182, Destiny’s Child, Jane’s Addiction, Toby Keith, Gwen Stefani, Audioslave, Nelly, Motley Crue, Green Day, Barry Manilow, Franz Ferdinand, Lionel Richie, The Wiggles and Alanis Morissette since its premiere on Super Bowl Sunday, January 26, 2003.

“Jimmy Kimmel Live” is taped later in the day than other late-night shows – at 7:45 p.m., PT. This allows the show to be extremely topical -- able to respond to the news of the day more quickly than the competition. Kimmel applies his irreverent wit to politics, television, the media, the FCC, popular culture – everything is a target. A weekly comedy segment called “Unnecessary Censorship” pokes fun at the FCC’s crackdown on the media by unnecessarily censoring clips from TV news, political speeches, reality TV and nature shows. Other regular comedy segments include Cousin Sal’s hidden camera pranks, number one Michael Jackson fan Jake Byrd’s “man on the street,” feisty Aunt Chippy on location, parking lot security guard Guillermo’s Hollywood Gossip Round-up and adorably clueless Uncle Frank’s coverage of red-carpet premieres.

“Jimmy Kimmel Live” is shot live in front of a studio audience.

RAPPED AND TAGGED: Examining the Annual DEVILZ NITE

Monday, November 16, 2009 7:04 AM | From Fangoria
DN09For the unaware, www.horrorcore.com is one of the largest outlets of the horrorcore/wicked shit musical genres the online market has to offer. For nearly a decade the site has played host to some of the most promising horrorcore veterans and prospects alike. Horrorcore powerhouses such as Mars, Menacide, Psycho Jesus, Kid Crusher, Q-Strange, and Insane Poetry have all been known to frequent the website, as well as quite a few of those future shiners like J.Hexx, bOb e. NiTe, and CrAkD (to name a few).

Well, back in 2003, the aforementioned Menacide launched what would become an annual horrorcore.com tradition; each Halloween a collection of the best holiday themed music the site has to offer would be compiled into one mass collection and released under the DEVILZ NITE moniker. Over the years some excellent work has graced the DEVILZ NITE compilations; terrific appearances from the likes of Sinister X, Icepick Willie, Bedlam, Dan The Saltine, and Crimson Bile have managed to keep the annual releases increasingly successful. This years DEVILZ NITE 2009 has appropriately continued to follow suit, providing a handful of kick ass appearances and memorable songs.

DN09 explodes with an incredible track from Mad Insanity, and fails to sway from it's extreme impact for quite some time. Memorable offerings from Heavy Hittaz, GrewSum, Blister, Kid Crusher, Monster Squad, Crimson Bile and Trips clutter an extremely well integrated collection of dark tunes. Very few tracks lack serious impact, and as a horrorcore fan, I can say I'm very impressed by this years DEVILZ NITE. It's a harrowing musical journey that never hesitates in it's sinister intentions. Check it out because, as I failed to mention earlier, it's a free download. (Snag it here: http://www.mediafire.com/?2lnjyr2nmzn )
In fact, it's been a free release since it's inception back in '03.

Included now is a complete, thorough list of each DEVILZ NITE installment in it's entirety, as well as a serious of DEVILZ REJEKTZ albums, which feature songs that didn't make the official release:

Latest All About Evil Teaser Longs for a Dental Hygienist

Sunday, November 15, 2009 11:20 PM | From Dread Central

Another new teaser poster for All About Evil has hit the net and this one is screaming for a toothbrush, dental floss and some Listerine. Maybe even gas, rags, and a match.

The new poster features the character "Adrian" the ummm.... foul mouthed usher, played by Noah Segan.

All About Evil is a wicked black comedy set in the world of a horror movie about a mousy librarian (Lyonne) who inherits her father's beloved but failing old movie house. In order to save the family business, she discovers her inner serial killer - and a legion of rabid gore fans - when she starts turning out a series of grisly shorts. What her fans don't realize yet is that the murders in the movies are all too real!

The film costars Thomas Dekker (Sarah Connor Chronicles, A Nightmare On Elm Street), Cassandra Peterson (Elvira), Mink Stole (Pink Flamingos, Serial Mom), Noah Segan (Deadgirl, Brick), Jack Donner (Star Trek), Julie Caitlin Brown (Babylon 5), Patrick Bristow (Showgirls), Peaches Christ (Season Of The Troll), and many more.

A High Fidelity Reunion Will Happen In Vegas

Thursday, November 5, 2009 10:56 PM | From Cinema Blend
High Fidelity is one of the few movies that perfectly articulates the relationship between popular media and our lives. Throw in a career starting performance by Jack Black (for better or for worse) and a cameo by The Boss, and it is a film that stands proudly in many DVD collections. It's been nine years since the film came out, and while one has seen their career rise while the other's somewhat fizzled, it now appears that film's writer and ... Read Article

Brian Yuzna Directs Amphibious 3D

Tuesday, November 3, 2009 6:24 PM | From Dread Central

Brian Yuzna is set to return to the director's chair with a 3D monster flick that will hopefully get you all wrapped-up! The news broke while we all gear up for AFM that Yuzna will be tacking a little film called Amphibious 3D which centers on what happens when a marine research expedition to the exotic Sumatran Sea turns treacherous as it encounters a supernatural prehistoric creature resurfacing with a vengeance.

Michael Paré, Janna Fassaert and Francis Magee all star. The film was shot in Stereoscopic 3D - polarized for TH release in Real-D or Dolby 3D. It will also be available in anaglyph and interactive polarized shutter for video release.

Check out the official synopsis and sales art below.

Synopsis
"Marine biologist, Skylar Shane [Janna Fassaert], hires an expat charter boat captain, Jack Bowman [Michael Paré], to help her find prehistoric life form samples in the north Sumatran Sea. During the expedition, they run into some of Jacks friends, a gang of smugglers headquartered on a fishing platform in the middle of the sea. Tamal, an orphan sold into servitude on the fishing platform by his uncle, a Dukun [sorcerer and master of black magic] shaman, begs Skylar to take him away. She empathizes with the boy who reminds her of her lost daughter, Rebecca, and is determined to help him, not knowing what lurks beneath the dark inky water, waiting to surface. Ever since Tamal arrived, mysterious things begin to happen, until one by one the smugglers will be killed by the terrifying creature from the deep. In the middle of an eerie, violent storm, the animus inside Tamal grows stronger, calling for the ancient creature of his nightmares. Now Skylar and Jack must battle the terror once locked deep in the abyss by an old civilization, as it is now about to resurface"
