Colin Hanks, Jeffrey Tambor, Ann-Margret and Ari Graynor have all signed on to the indie comedy Lucky.

It sounds like a twisted little tale, following a man whose lifelong ambition is to be a serial killer and how winning the lottery changes his life, if not his murderous intent.

Oh, and he's also pursuing the woman of his dreams, though we think that's romantically, not in the sense that he wants to kill her.

Gill Cates Jr is preparing to call the shots starting next week in Iowa.

Mike Leigh Starts Shooting His Next Project in London

English filmmaker Mike Leigh has started production on his next new film following the Oscar nominated film Happy-Go-Lucky, which received heaps of critical acclaim. The project is untitled and Leigh is keeping a lid on plot details (much like Woody Allen), but we do know who's in the cast: Imelda Staunton (Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Taking Woodstock), Jim Broadbent (Hot Fuzz, The Damned United, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince), Philip Davis (Vera Drake, Cassandra's Dream), David Bradley (Filch in Harry Potter) and Stuart McQuarrie (28 Days Later, "The Bill"). Quite an impressive English cast. According to a new story on Sci-Fi wire, George Miller is currently recording voices for Happy Feet 2 with Robin Williams set to record his role in January. Possibly roles plural, in fact, as he had a few characters to take care of in the first film. George Millers original Happy Feet is something of a best kept secret, really. Im not promising youll like it but chances are, if you havent seen it then you very possibly dont really know what its like at all. The trailer definitely suggests an entirely different animal than the film ultimately provides (well, not literally, both are positively stuffed with penguins) and theres a last act surprise that divided audiences with the sharp polarity normally associated with Marmite.
