Lohan Turned Down The Hangover; Coppola Wanted Scorsese To Direct Godfather 2

Wednesday, July 8, 2009 11:42 AM | From /Film
Did you know: Lindsay Lohan turned down a role in The Hangover claiming that the script had "no potential." And we've just learned that Paramount Pictures supposedly turned down an opportunity to have Martin Scorsese direct The Godfather 2. Read both of the stories after the jump. Talk about missteps. Apparently a mutual agent or casting director for filmmaker Todd Phillips originally wanted to cast Lindsay Lohan in the role of the stripper for the Warner Bros comedy The Hangover. According to US Magazine, "The agent tried hard to get [director Todd] Phillips to consider her, "and when he finally agreed, Lindsay said she didn't like the script!" According to the report, Lindsay said the script "had no potential." Francis Ford Coppolas TETRO Trailer Now Online -- Whats black and white and weird all over?

Sunday, May 3, 2009 1:14 PM | From Collider
Written by Nicole Pedersen Its hard to believe that before 2007's "Youth Without Youth", it was ten long years since Francis Ford Coppola directed a feature film. Its also hard to believe that the film he chose to go out on back in 1997 was The Rainmaker. I like a good John Grisham movie, dont get me wrong but The Rainmaker lacked the epic feel that, like it or not, comes along with being the creator of The Godfather. The evils of insurance companies just dont stack up against fratricide. So what has Coppola Senior been doing for the past couple years? Aside from making wine and directing his daughters career, that is? Turns out hes been working on a little movie called Tetro with Vincent Gallo. Wait! Where are you going? Im pretty sure Gallo only acts in the movie! For the love of Godfather people! ... Read Article
