Michael Sheen Exclusive Video Interview THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON
Sunday, November 15, 2009 11:36 PM | From Collider
I think Michael Sheen is one of the best actors working in Hollywood. No matter the role, he disappears into his character to the point where you forget he’s acting. Think about it: Sheen has played real people (Tony Blair in The Queen, David Frost in Frost/Nixon, and Brian Clough in The Damned United, among [...]
Nick Frost on Pirate Radio
Tuesday, November 10, 2009 12:56 PM | From CanMag.Com
When The Boat that Rocked opened in England, it did not have the fanfare usually doled out to a Richard Curtis movie. It’s even opening in America with a different cut and the name Pirate Radio to wash that critical stink off. Co-star Nick Frost hopes American audiences will get the premise of the film and enjoy its slice of life episodes on the pirate radio boats of the 1960s.
Nick Frost on the Air for Pirate Radio
“I think that's kind of part of the way Richard put it together,” Frost said. “I think what the British press missed is the fact that the film is set over kind of two years, essentially, and so when a story’s that long it’s difficult to keep a narrative thread going through the whole film. So I think Richard kind of shot it in a way where it’s essentially sketches put together with the ship being kind of the strand through the whole thing.”
HOT FUZZ Slash Fiction Supported and Written by Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg, and Nick Frost
Tuesday, October 20, 2009 11:49 AM | From Collider
I knew that once the triumvirate of Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg, and Nick Frost were all on Twitter, it would yield great comedic rewards and so it has. Yesterday, the three happily skipped down the road of slash fiction. For those that don’t know (and it is more than okay if you don’t), “slash” is [...]
The Damned United Review
Thursday, October 8, 2009 5:07 PM | From IGN Movies
Based on David Peace's acclaimed novel The Damned Utd, The Damned United marks the third big screen collaboration between actor Michael Sheen and Oscar-nominated screenwriter Peter Morgan following The Queen and Frost/Nixon. The movie recounts the dismal 44 day tenure of outspoken British football manager Brian Clough (Sheen), who succeeds his wildly successful rival Don Revie (Star Trek's Colm Meaney) as manager of reigning champs Leeds United in 1974.
The folks over at Collider have scored the first image of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost in Paul, the upcoming road-trip comedy directed by Greg Mottola (Superbad, Adventureland). The film recently wrapped principal photography and arrives in theaters August 16, 2010.
Along with starring, Pegg and Frost also wrote the screenplay. The film centers on two sci-fi geeks who embark upon a pilgrimage in a RV to the center of Americas UFO heartland: Nevadas infamous Area 51. It also stars Jason Bateman, Kristen Wiig, Bill Hader, Jane Lynch, Sigourney Weaver, Joe Lo Truglio and Seth Rogen.
See Simon Pegg and Nick Frost in Paul

The first promotional image for Simon Pegg and Nick Frost's sci-fi comedy Paul has been seen in the wild - both not where you'd expect and yet exactly where you might think.
Confused? You shouldn't be. While - given the extensive video and photo blog coverage - you'd be forgiven for thinking that Universal would launch the first imagery online, the initial picture is actually up at the studio's backlot.
The team over at Collider were sent this snap of Pegg and Frost, flanked by Blythe Danner and Kristen Wiig and obviously in the middle of an (albeit off-camera) alien encounter.
Take a look for yourself below, but with shooting finished and director Greg Mottola deep into post-production, hopefully we'll be able to see more very soon…
First Image of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost in Greg Mottolas PAUL
Thursday, September 24, 2009 8:56 PM | From Collider
Collider reader Liz just sent us some photos of a giant still from Greg Mottola’s upcoming comedy “Paul” starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. Liz didn’t specify where exactly she took the photos beyond Universal Studios in Hollywood.
For those not familiar with the film, “Paul” is the first Pegg-Frost collaboration without Edgar Wright behind the [...]
First Look: Simon Pegg and Nick Frost in Greg Mottolas Film Paul
We've seen a few video blogs from the set of Paul (like this and this), the geek road trip movie written by Nick Frost and Simon Pegg and directed by Greg Mottola. But we haven't seen any stills showing the cast really in character, until now.
Collider was sent a nice image that is plastered up somewhere in Universal Studios, showing Frost, Pegg, and what appears to be Kristen Wiig and Jane Lynch. This is probably just a promo shot, but it gets the idea across: geek guys, alien encounter, weird shit. Couple that with a Pegg/Frost script and Mottola's direction (who has been said to be doing his best early Spielberg) and I am so down. There's a lot of the cast yet to be seen: Sigourney Weaver and Blythe Danner, Jason Bateman, Jo Lo Truglio and Bill Hader in their government suits, Dave Koechner and John Caroll Lynch. ...

Another day, another set of awards season tributes. This time, the highly reputable Gotham Independent Film Awards announced this year's career tribute recipients. Being recognized for their work are Natalie Portman (coincidentally starring in the upcoming "Brothers"), Kathryn Bigelow ("The Hurt Locker"), Stanley Tucci ("Julia & Julia" and "The Lovely Bones") and producers Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner who have a ridiculously long list of impressive credits through their Working Title label including the upcoming "A Serious Man," "Frost/Nixon," "Fargo," "Atonement," "Four Weddings and a Funeral" and many, many more (both are long overdue for Oscars by the way).Considered the first...
