Black Friday Movie Deals: Target
Monday, November 23, 2009 3:56 PM | From Cinematical
Our good friend and EIC Erik Davis had a very thoughtful idea for the holiday season: Why not scan the early flyers for the Black Friday sales, and report back to you -- the ravenous movie junkie -- to let you know where to find the best treats on the day after Thanksgiving? To those who choose to brave the stores on 11/27/09, you have my best wishes. I'll be sleeping.
We'll be bringing you deals for a variety of stores all week long. Here's what we've posted so far so you can keep track:
Jason Segel (Forgetting Sarah Marshall) joined The Swell Season, Irish musician Glen Hansard and Czech singer and pianist Markéta Irglová (you know, the musical artists from the indie musical Once) on stage at The Wiltern in Los Angeles on November 18th, 2009. Segel joked that the movie Once beat out the Dracula Love song from Forgetting Sarah Marshall at the Academy Awards due to Hollywood "politics."
Segel performed a song which involved asking college girls in the audience, interested in having sex with him, to call a phone number - 315-329-6673. And yes, it is a real number. Women who call the number are given an email address to contact him (helptronics@gamil.com). Apparently Segel performed the same song, with few lyrics changed, at a Maroon 5 concert earlier this month. Watch a video of the performance after the jump.
Here are the lyrics from the New York performance of the song:

Rob Marshall Confirmed for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides
Back in July, it was hinted that Chicago helmer Rob Marshall might be directing the fourth Pirates of the Caribbean film, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, but we haven't heard anything since... until now.
At a DGA screening of Nine, Marshall confirmed that he would be helming the Disney sequel. When asked what he would be doing next, Marshall responded "ya'know, it's something that I was offered and never in the world thought I would do but then I was like 'why not?'... I'm doing 'Pirates of the Caribbean....'' According to the AICN report, Marshall also mentioned that he had met with Johnny Depp, and that they are both excited to work together.
The fourth film will be based on Tim Powers' pirate novel On Stranger Tides which was optioned by Disney years ago. The novel tells the story of Blackbeard and the Fountain of Youth. Here's the plot of ...
