Kabloom Goes Kablam With Four New Stars

Tuesday, October 6, 2009 10:14 AM | From Latino Review
Filmmakers must think that all college students do all day is have sex -- I mean, yes, of course that's what they do but they also set aside time for hanging around their local Starbucks looking pompous and better than you. (Trust me, I was a college student. I know these things.) The latest film to fall into the college-students-getting-sexed-up cliche is Kaboom, written and directed by Gregg Araki (Mysterious Skin). According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kaboom "follows the sexual awakening of a group of college students." And who is that group exactly? It appears mostly smaller-name stars. Araki has just added the likes of Roxanne Mesquida (The Last Mistress), Thomas Dekker (Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles), Kelly Lynch (The L Word), and Rooney Mara (Youth in Revolt) to the cast. I have a feeling that Lynch, who was born in '59, won't be included as one of the college students (unless Araki is going for a mature student angle?) so my bet's on her as a hot professor who gets involved with one of her students. With few details to go on besides the cast list, the only other thing I can tell you is that Araki is already at work filming the indie production. Source: The Hollywood Reporter Read Article

Donald Glover on Community

Wednesday, September 23, 2009 10:21 AM | From CanMag.Com
What happens to the high school jock when they get injured and lose their college scholarship? They end up at community college. Donald Glover plays that guy in Community, NBC’s new comedy about a study group at the local college. He plays Troy, and Troy is about to meet the Spanish teacher, Senor Chang.

Donald Glover Talks Community
“Well, he’s a little bit of a live wire, Senor Chang” Glover said when he attended the Paley Center for Media’s fall TV preview night. “Ken Jeong is a bit of a live wire but I think just as Troy gets in there, I think him and Bruce will have a bond. They really do. A lot of things, Ken will just point me out and just be like, ‘Yeah, I like that Troy.’”

Troy may still be too busy posturing to actually absorb Chang’s lesson, but he’ll try. Read Article

Typical college ... Read Article

With Heroes‘ fifth volume, “Redemption”, set to start shooting next week, the cast has been accommodating a few additions, including a new villain and a new roommate for college-bound Claire (Hayden Panettiere). Bledel finds herself

Monday, April 27, 2009 6:07 PM | From Joblo.Com
MTV has your first look at the trailer for the college comedy POST GRAD and, unlike most college comedy these days, this one doesn't seem to have excessive drinking, a journey to find naked women, weed or naked women in general, which is a bummer, sure, but not necessarily a bad thing. It seems like a pretty standard "girl lost in life finds purpose in the end" with a little love triangle thrown in for good measure. In it, Alexis Bledel stars as a recent college grad who has to move... Read More... Read Article
