Hot on the heels of the (now debunked) Rachel McAdams rumor, UGO has learned that Julia Stiles has met with a casting company in New York to discuss "Spider-Man 4." Although no specifics have been learned as to what role Stiles is circling, everyone of course assumes it will be Black Cat. Well, if that is the villain Raimi is indeed pursuing for this chapter, I must say I am against it. She's too similar to Catwoman for one thing. I mean, a cat burglar who has a forbidden sexual attraction with a costumed superhero? It's gonna seem like a rip off, no matter which feline villainess was around first, because Catwoman is definitely the more well known character (ignoring the Halle Berry fiasco, of course). Also, what we don't need in "Spidey 4" is yet another love triangle, which wasn't very well received in "Spidey 3."Speaking of, I shall now throw down the nerd gauntlet: I actually ENJOYED "Spider-Man 3." OK, first things first: As with all other casting discussions surrounding a third Batman movie, there's nothing to this. There's no script. There's no decision on who the villains would be. There's no concrete timetable. There's no movie yet. But there are plenty of rumors, and here's the latest: Charlize Theron as Catwoman.
To be sure, there's a big upside to Theron in the role. She's sexy, she can act, she can do action, she's tall - which, believe it or not, I think would be an issue (but maybe not) - and she'd be a nice name to attach to the project. And, not surprisingly, Charlize agrees. Wow, that rhymed.
"It's news to me, but that's kick-ass news," Theron is reported as saying. "I like that...I think that what has happened to that franchise is amazing, and director Chris Nolan is a genius. So I would be an idiot to not consider that."

Megan Fox's publicist denies reports that she has signed up to appear in the next Batman movie.
Once again, a Batman casting rumor got the better of tons of people this week. And it's hard to understand the impulse to go along with the ride on these, because so many movie fans are anxious for the third movie and for one of the first times in film history, almost every actor alive is fair game for something.
The rumor du jour was Megan Fox as Catwoman. I was asked about it on e-mail, Twitter, and Facebook, and my answer was pretty much the same every time: "I'll wash your car for a year if Megan Fox is Catwoman." A rep for Warner Bros. told People on Wednesday, "there's no script. There's no project to be cast in."
Precisely.
