BTTF video game?

Monday, November 23, 2009 7:16 AM | From Joblo.Com
Let's be clear about one thing before I start: this is NOT any kind of video or test from an upcoming BACK TO THE FUTURE video game. As far as I'm aware, there is no BACK TO THE FUTURE video game in the works. But what we have below gives us an opportunity to see what a BTTF video game might look like. What we actually have here is a mod for the highly popular PC games "Crysis" and "Crysis Wars" that users can download and adapt into their game. It allows the gamer... Read More... Read Article

Check This Out: Back to the Future Crysis Video Game Mod

Monday, November 23, 2009 6:12 AM | From /Film
I'm not a huge video gamer, but I am a hardcore Back to the Future fanatic. So when I got sent this video of a mod to Electronic Arts' Crysis and Crysis Wars, I just knew I had to share it. The mod is extremely highly detailed, including sounds and visual effects, but it goes far beyond that -- it even allows players the functionality to time travel. Watch the entire video after the jump, especially the end. If you have the game, you can download the mod on crymod.com. Read Article

Sam Worthington goes back to the future

Friday, November 20, 2009 7:16 AM | From Total Film

Avatar's Sam Worthington is clearly not done with science fiction - he's attached to star in near-future tale The Last Days Of American Crime.

The Minority Report-esque plot focuses on the US government's plan to covertly broadcast a signal that would make it impossible for anyone to commit a crime.

It's been adapted from Rick Remender's comic book, which is ready to hit the shops as a miniseries next month.

There's no word on who might direct the movie yet, but if Duncan Jones wasn't already busy on Source Code and trying to get Mute made, he'd have our vote. Or maybe they could convince Neill Blomkamp to sign on?

Thinking caps on: who do you want to see in the director's chair?

Future is Wild movie

Thursday, October 1, 2009 8:21 PM | From Joblo.Com
The hypothetical creatures of the far future are on their way to theaters. A few years back, Animal Planet ran a clairvoyant documentary series called "The Future is Wild", which combined science and imagination to speculate and visualize how our planet and its denizens might look in several million years (hint: not a human to be found). Now they're planning to give that extrapolation a bigger budget and a... Read More... Read Article
