Mr. Mackenzie, an elderly man suffering from dementia, remembers the evils of his guilty past. Daily, he is confronted by his son, but he doesn't recognize him. The visitor wants Mr. Mackenzie to remember his youth. He wants him to remember the summers he spent with his aunt and uncle and he especially wants him to recall the times he spent with his beautiful cousin, Miss Eleanor Rigby. A longing they both shared towards one another developed quickly into a shameful romance between the two which bore young Mr. Mackenzie a son. Their relationship was forbidden and the child was a dishonor to their family name. Filled with guilt, young Miss Eleanor Rigby took her own life. Now, over 40 years have passed and Mr. Mackenzie, a father and now a much older man, has to struggle to even recognize his only son. His guilt never permitted him to take the quick way out such as Eleanor did, but it has taken on a new form. His guilt has remain nurtured, and feed well. The effects of these instances with his cousin.
