Deep Powder Trailer (2013)

Trailer for Deep Powder.

In a snowy, picturesque New England town, an invisible dividing line exists between local blue-collar residents and the privileged, Ivy League-reared students of a prestigious boarding school. Little interaction exists beyond a general, resentful acknowledgement of the other. But beautiful and reckless boarding school senior Natasha Tabor doesn’t care about much of anything, let alone unspoken social rules. When she eyes Danny, a ski lift operator from the other side of town, she is immediately intrigued, ensnaring him in a doomed relationship. Natasha is soon tapped by her secret society, the Deep Powder Alpine Country Club, to make its annual drug run to Ecuador, a tradition funded by the social club’s alumni who use the yearly trek to score an allotment of high-grade cocaine. Flush with cash and coasting on waves of adrenaline, Natasha and Danny set off on a journey that she foolishly convinces him is without danger but that ultimately leads to devastating outcomes for everyone involved. Inspired by true events from the early ’80s, Deep Powder is an intense and sexy drama that speaks to the character that is revealed when you find yourself trapped.
