Cybermutt Trailer (2003)

Juliet, her son, Nino, and their dog, Rex, are out on a sunny afternoon in the park. When they see a preoccupied scientist, Alex, recklessly walk into the path of an oncoming car, Rex sacrifices himself to save the scientist's life. To repay his debt, Alex operates on the dog back at his lab. The procedure is a success, but not what Juliet and Nino had in mind; Alex has implanted a chip into Rex, giving him amazing new abilities. Little does anyone know that Erica, his partner and love interest, has plans for man's best friend. Part of a techno-crime trio, Erica and her partners plan on selling the chip to the highest bidder. Catching a super-dog poses its problem though, so they decide to kidnap Nino, hoping Rex will come to the boy's rescue. Be careful what you wish for...
