Charlie is a 40-year-old transsexual who lives alone in New York City. He has given up everything to become his true self, spending his nights wandering the streets of Manhattan and hanging out with Matthew—his next door neighbor, a young aspiring filmmaker. As Charlie’s male-to-female operation is near, Matthew starts a documentary about Charlie, who reveals his city-fueled doubts and tribulations, and his much regretted life choices.
