Oscar Contenders Line Up Early For SAG Awards

The 23rd Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards are getting underway and with a host of big names hitting the red carpet. The contenders for the Oscars are weighing up their prospects for the night ahead. Across film and television, the SAG provides the winners a trophy with a naked man holding up a mask of comedy and tragedy. Imagery to convey the two contrasts required for a true actor to master their craft.

Airing on TNT and TBS, the likes of Casey Affleck, Denzel Washington and Ryan Gosling will have to get used to wearing their tuxedos as they front the SAG. But some of the names listed for small screen nominations are well worthy of being in the same VIP room, including the likes of Bryan Cranston, Jane Fonda and Riz Ahmed from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
