Ocean’s Eight Casts Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner In Cameos

Ocean's Eight might be a threat of becoming a cameo-heavy production in the same mold as Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, Zoolander 2 or Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. Seeing a random collection of celebrities pop up on a moment's notice. The news this week saw two of the most recognizable figures in popular culture added to the crew - Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner.

Seen working on the principal photography on Monday in New York City, the half-sisters and fashion icons are expected to play themselves. And they are not alone, as also to be included are Adriana Lima and Met Gala organizer Anna Wintour. This is one of the few times Kardashian has been spotted in public since that October 3 incident, which saw the businesswoman and socialite held at gunpoint.

Ocean's Also Cast An Actual Actor

Richard Armitage

With George Clooney said to make a short appearance, the backlot of Ocean's Eight will be a who's who of glitz and glamor. Now 45-year old British actor Richard Armitage has signed on for a role yet to be made public, linking up with the likes of Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Awkwafina, Rihanna, Helena Bonham Carter and James Corden.

Starring in The Hobbit franchise as well as features including Captain America: The First AvengerAlice Through the Looking Glass and Into the Storm, Armitage has been busy playing a part in the television series Berlin Station prior to this opportunity. His previous history won't make him overawed to join Steven Soderbergh's movie, but given the amount of names that keep being added by the day there is every chance his screen time could be hindered.

Katie Holmes Confirms Role In Recent Interview

Katie Holmes in Mad Money

Sitting down next to Matthew Perry for a double interview with ET, Katie Holmes confirmed that she is indeed apart of the film. Which makes sense considering she has been spotted on the set. While Perry was puzzled as to the sequel going back in the numbering order from the original Ocean's Eleven, Holmes could not care less. The actress was over the moon to be part of the all female ensemble.

"I'm a fan of all the Ocean's movies," admitted the actress. "So, I'm happy that it has so many amazing women in it, so many amazing actresses. It's really so much fun being a part of."

Before hesitating slightly over whether or not she could divulge the information, Holmes said that there is no other character than her in real life she will be playing. "I play myself. It's just a cameo."
