New Thor: Ragnarok Trailer Drop Date Rumored

Having given fans a taste of what is to come for Spider-Man: Homecoming last week with the first trailer, MCU fans are holding out to see what is in store for Thor: Ragnarok. Unlike much of the content that is drip fed, the timing of the trailers are cards that are usually kept close to the chest of the studio.

However, one Instagram user the_marvelous_guy has proclaimed that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. star Chloe Bennet identified this week's episode as the time of the unveiling. There was no evidence from Bennet's social media accounts that this was the case, so was this an inside scoop or sheer gossip?

Tuesday's Agents Episode The Time To Watch

For those regular viewers of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., they will be able to fact check whether or not the rumor has any truth to it as the_marvelous_guy stated that this week is the time to watch.

"BREAKING: Chloe Bennet had supposedly announced that the Thor: Ragnarok trailer will be attached to the upcoming episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. this Tuesday!" they stated. "Hope we get to see more of Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange! #Thor #Ragnarok #ThorRagnarok #Loki #Odin #Hela #ChrisHemsworth #TomHiddleston #AnthonyHopkins #CateBlanchett #DoctorStrange #Grandmaster #JeffGoldblum #TaikaWaititi #ChloeBennet #Quake #BenedictCumberbatch #MalloryJansen #AgentsOfSHIELD #SHIELD #Hydra #AgentsOfHydra #Marvel #MarvelStudios #MarvelTelevision."

While the hashtag game is strong, there is every chance that the post is simply a cry for attention. But there is also precedent for the timing of this release, with Avengers: Age of Ultron dropping during an Agents episode and Doctor Strange debuting online almost 12 months ago exactly for Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Marvelous Guy Weary of the Haters

As if to hold off the barrage of criticism that will come his way should the trailer not appear during the commercial breaks of the Marvel small screen production, the user followed up his post with the proviso that they cannot guarantee the news to be 100% certain.

"Wow my recent post was posted in a Marvel article AND post by the MCU Facebook page, where thousands of people have seen it," they boasted. "I'm flattered guys! But also, I wanted to add that this is only something I heard from another Marvel account. (You know who you are ߘ) It's just a rumor, a very sensible rumor, but a rumor. We're not sure if it is 100% true. Don't take it too seriously guys because if it doesn't happen, I'm gonna get a lot of hate."

Thor: Ragnarok will open in the United States on November 3.
