After Justice League Henry Cavill Returns for Another Superman Installment

Talent manager Dany Garcia is kind of a big deal. She recently made headlines when it became clear that she was partially responsible for Dwayne Johnson becoming the highest paid actor in 2016. Scoring a total take of $64.5 million over the course of 12 months, Johnson proved he can handle any medium. So Newsweek met up with Garcia to discuss her Hollywood involvement, which ended with a quick nod to Henry Cavill.

Henry Cavill Confirmed for Stand Alone Superman Sequel

It makes sense that The Rock would lead to Henry Cavill, considering that both these guys are jacked. While Cavill is not on the same Cod diet, his build is still impressive. Especially when you consider how he looked in The Count of Monte Cristo and then Showtime's The Tudors. Yes, I know, both those properties were some time ago. It is still interesting however to see such a transformation. But I digress...

While talking with Newsweek, Dany Garcia let it slip that her new client, Henry Cavill, is hoping for big pay days in the near future as well. While Cavill was able to show off some charm in The Man from U.N.C.L.E., he's not nearly up to Johnson's standard of winning over audiences just yet. But that doesn't mean the doors aren't beginning to open for the actor. With Garcia's help, he's being prepped to be the next action hero.

Henry Cavill Solo Superman Installment

“Henry has a big appetite. We’ve been in a five-month period of time where he’s re-strategizing, acquiring property [for his production company Promethean], he’s filming Justice League now, he’s in development for the Superman standalone... he’s beginning to expand that world. It’s beautifully teed up. In a year from now, or two years from now, he’s going to be a force globally.”

Teed up is putting it lightly. With Cavill set for three more Warner Bros/DC collaborations, beginning with Justice League, there should be tons of money flowing his way. Now all he needs is a HBO series and a wrestling alter ego.

And, just to make sure he doesn't become typecast, the actor has squeezed in an additional role with Sand Castle. The film tells the story of a squad of U.S. soldiers who attempt to defend a small village during the US occupation of Iraq. Cavill will co-star with Nicholas Hoult and Logan Marshall-Green.
