Comedy The Pact Casts Trio John Cena, Leslie Mann and Ike Barinholtz

Unlike blockbusters that slowly leak and drip out the information over casting, comedies get straight to the point. The Pact is no different. Three of the main players are already in the bag, beginning with Sisters star Ike Barinholtz, This Is 40's Leslie Mann and John Cena. Who you may remember co-starred in Sisters after working on Trainwreck with Amy Schumer.

Securing these three names is a big coupe for the project that has a host of productions on board. All indicating that there could be conflicts of interest for the movie. With his growing filmography, Cena is developing quite the reputation in the comedy world. But he will be ably supported by Barinholtz and Mann, two seasoned professionals when it comes to this type of genre.

Stealth Seth Behind The Camera

Seth Rogen Sausage Party Prank

If big action franchises are difficult to cast, then it would be seldom for them to have more parties involved than The Pact does. Sausage Party voiceover star Seth Rogen will help produce via his company Point Grey with Evan Goldberg and James Weaver. While Eben Russell, Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg, and brothers Brian and Jim Kehoe wrote the script for the comedy.

The executive producing party is comprised of Nathan Kahane and Joe Drake of Good Universe as well as Chris Cowles of DMG. To make it a crowded lot behind the camera even further, DMG Entertainment’s Chris Fenton is attached to produce. That is going to be one busy board room!

Making Her Pitch - Musical Comedy Writer To Make Directoral Debut

Anna Kendrick Pitch Perfect

Perhaps the large support team is due in part to an inexperienced director, with Kay Cannon going from the writer's table to the big chair for the first time in her career. Penning Pitch Perfect, Pitch Perfect 2 and the upcoming Pitch Perfect 3, Cannon developed her craft after working on the hit NBC show 30 Rock.

Yet she will not have to look much further than one of the stars in Barinholtz for inspiration, with the talented performer also working as a writer in his own right via the Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart feature Central Intelligence. It might be a big team in front and behind the camera, but Cannon and co have plenty of talent at their fingertips.
