The story is set in 1975, the era that every boy wanted to be Eddy Merckx. Also Freddy, the eleven-year cycle talentje and son of André butcher. André has other concerns to the head because the first supermarket opens its doors soon in the village, a matter that threatens the butcher. But Freddy thinks differently because the occasion of the opening of the supermarket organize a bicycle race. The winner of that game must meet Eddy Merckx. Freddy writes himself secretly.
